Supportive Men are Treasures
Posted on June 15, 2014 | By Virginia White Jones
Sometimes we are so busy
Seeking material and worldly things
We often miss what is important
The supportiveness that our men bring
The tedious jobs men do each day
Often go unnoticed or taken in stride
They are sincere in solving problems
To show they are on our side
Men help women achieve their goals
Laying the foundation for the many tasks
Willingly giving up a part of themselves
To assure that accomplishments will last
Dubbed as hunters and providers
Men solve problems, and lend a listening ear
While women are talking, men are thinking
Of ways to show they truly care
When you find a supportive man
Who protects and provides in times of strife
He is a hidden treasure
That God placed into your life
Supportive men should not be taken for granted
Because they show love in different ways
Appreciate, honor, and respect them
You have found a treasure, give God some praise
God blessed me with a treasure in my life. I pray you are blessed too!
Focus on the positive things about supportive men, who are treasures.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report: if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things.

It Is Not Your Fault
Posted on March 30, 2014 | By Virginia White Jones
It Is Not Your Fault
There are days you may have thoughts
About the “bad things” that happened to you
To God, you are special
He will make your life brand new
There is no need to feel guilty
Believing it was your fault
You are an innocent victim
The uncaring did not halt
When someone takes advantage of you
They have problems of their own
It’s easier for them to point the blame
To avoid facing what is already known
God knows all about the secret places
Filled with agony, pain, and tears
He will restore you to wholeness
Which will keep you through the years
It is not your fault
God is working all things out
You are his beautiful creation
Your faith will remove all doubt
God works in mysterious ways
So hold your head up high
He will render justice on your behalf
Keep reaching for the sky
For those who have been sexually abused, God loves you!!!
Zephanhiah 3:17
The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.

Why Should You Want To Live
Posted on March 30, 2014 | By Virginia White Jones
Why Should You Want To Live?
Your life is the most precious gift
that you will ever own
Almighty God created you
It is He to whom your life belongs
He wants you to have happiness
Peace, joy, and all the rest
When storms of life come your way
Still strive to do your very best
Though you may feel like giving up
When life’s burdens begin to mount
Keep your heart and mind focused on God
It’s your relationship with Him that counts
You are somebody special in God’s eyesight
With Love and patience He molded you
To live your life to the fullest for Him
That’s what He requires you to do
Thoughts about taking your life is straight from the devil. God created you in His own image. God loves you so much that He sent His son Jesus to die for you. Think about the sacrifice He made for you and dwell on His love.

Give Me My Dignity
Posted on March 30, 2014 | By Virginia White Jones
Give Me My Dignity
Don’t think because I am getting old
That I have lost my way
My body may be changing
But God is with me throughout each day
God has brought me through many years
I faced valleys, hills, and mountain peaks
He gives me strength, wisdom, and favor
His promises, He always keeps
As I begin to age gracefully
I need love, care, and respect
I still have much to share with you
As God prepares me for my heavenly step
I want to give you hope for the future
Our generations need to know
God will never leave or forsake you
The Living Word tells us so
I am proud to live out my golden years
I still have my dignity
God gave me His essence before I was born
So you can’t take it away from me
Give Me My Dignity
Isaiah 46:4
Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he,
I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you

Let Go – Let God
Posted on March 30, 2014 | By Virginia White Jones
Let Go- Let God
The hardest part of letting go
is hampered by our pride
It’s difficult to let others know
What we feel inside
Disappointment, pain, and tears
sometimes too hard to bear
We start to let go, but then cannot
Our hearts are locked with fear
There is no need to be anxious about
the control we hate to lose
God holds the reins to the universe
We have only to choose
To lean on His eternal wisdom
His strength and knowledge will surpass
Your worries, thoughts, and actions
Only God’s way will last
So let go, and let God
Move self out of the way
God’s loving hands beckon you
Let Him work things out today

Cherish The Woman
Posted on March 30, 2014 | By Virginia White Jones
Cherish The Woman
Cherish the woman
Who talks with God each day
Gaining patience, strength, and courage
To walk the narrow way
With her hands she labors tirelessly
Striving to do good deeds
Humbly serving behind the scenes
Thinking only of others needs
In her quiet, gentle manner
She lends a listening ear
To those who seek understanding
That God is forever near
She whispers words of encouragement
Sprinkled with love and smiles
Her prayers are offered to God with faith
Which will carry you across the miles
A woman should be cherished
For the spiritual fruit she bears
A mother, wife, and friend to all
A disciple, who shows that she cares

Visions: Why Me Lord? Because You Are A Dreamer
Posted on March 30, 2014 | By Virginia White Jones
Visions: Why Me Lord?
Because You Are A Dreamer
God’s visions are for the dreamer
who reaches for the highest height
He does not focus on obstacles
But keeps God’s will in sight
Though the task seems overwhelming
and others say it cannot be done
The dreamer waits patiently in prayer
To “hear” how battles are won
First God shows you the mountain peak
with each ledge a place to rest
Look up to Him as you climb
With assurance you will conquer the quest
Then use your gifts and talents
as you ascend each hill
All other things will be added by God
To carry out His will
For visions are given to the dreamer
to win more souls for Christ
To work each day on earth for Him
Until we reach paradise

Loneliness
Posted on March 30, 2014 | By Virginia White Jones
Loneliness
There are times when you may feel lonely
When family and friends are gone
God will send someone here on earth
To help you to keep strong
When days and nights seem dreary
and you have nowhere to turn
Cherish having an experience with God
For you have much to learn
A life that thrives on people and places
often leads to despair
People leave, places change
and you feel that no one is near
A life that thrives on God’s goodness
is one that can ride the tide
of loneliness- whatever may come
For you know in God you abide

Believe In Yourself
Posted on March 28, 2014 | By Virginia White Jones
When life’s trials seems overwhelming
You feel that you have been let down
Believe in yourself
God will surely turn things around
Listen: God wants to help you
He has given you talents, skills and gifts
Believe in yourself
For He is always in your midst
Support from others may not come
At a time when you need it the most
Believe in yourself
God sends you angels and His heavenly hosts
You have many hidden treasures
That God placed inside of you
So you can believe in yourself
God knows the road you are traveling to
With God’s help you can soar like an eagle to the highest heights!
Why Me Lord? Because I Love You
Posted on March 27, 2014 | By Virginia White Jones
Why Me Lord?
Because I Love You
Why me Lord?
I strive to do your will
and follow in you way
Each morning that I awaken
I kneel down to pray
Why me Lord?
I praise you for your mighty works
Your sunrise, sunsets, I lift you high
Yet, before the ending of a day
There times I have to cry
Why me Lord?
Trials and tribulations
seem to be my second name
For the burdens of life get so heavy
I wonder if I will be the same
BUT
When I think about how you dried my tears
In the middle of the night
And whispered in my ears
That everything will be all right
In the middle of the storms
You give me peace within
Even though I do not deserve it
For I too have sinned
You sent your Son to hang on the cross
His suffering so terrible to bear
To show how much you loved me
That you truly, truly care
My troubles in this world cannot compare
To your greatest sacrifice
Jesus died on the cross for me
So that I may have eternal life
WHY NOT ME?
