LOOK UP

LOOK UP
During the holidays, or on other special occasions, some of you will become depressed, sad, or just feel “blah.” God knows all about your individual situation. He is waiting for you to look up to Him. He wants to pour his love, strength, faith, joy, and peace into your life – to make you feel whole again. God wants you to have an intimate relationship with Him, which will make your problems secondary to the plans he has for your life. Sometimes we can get so accustom to looking down, that we stop looking up. Start by looking up to the sky. God’s sky is so beautiful with all of the detailed art work. You too, are His detailed art work. In the sky is a message of hope for you. Look up! Look up! God keeps His promises. God loves you.
Psalm121:1-8 I lift my eyes to the mountains- where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip- he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watch over you – the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm- he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

HEALED AS YOU GO

HEALED AS YOU GO
God is a healer. He uses various people, times, and methods to heal us. He can heal instantly or heal us slowly. As the creator of all things he knows every detail of our bodies. He knows exactly the kind of healing that we need- physical healing, spiritual healing, and mental healing.
Pain often causes us to scream out for an immediate healing because the pain seems too heavy to bear. These are times that God wants us to lean totally on Him; as His presence is always with us. Thank God for His presence in our lives even when we are in pain or at our lowest point due to illness.
While it is difficult, we must have faith. Faith in God gives us hope for each day. It enables us to keep going on with our daily lives though we may not feel like it. When we are sick we have a choice – to close ourselves away from the world, or continue to do as much as we can, go as much as we can, knowing that God’s strength will sustain us. Even in our hospital beds, we can give our roommate or visitors a testimony about the goodness of the Lord. Faith in our creator allows us to live our lives to the fullest even when we are ill. I love the story of the ten lepers. God healed the ten lepers “as they went.” He wants to heal you too. Let Him heal you as you go. Thank God for His goodness and mercy, that follows us all the days of our lives. Be blessed and healed as you go about working in God’s Kingdom, bringing heaven to earth. God loves you!
Luke 17:11-17
Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us.” when he saw them, he said, “Go show yourselves to the priest.” And as they went, they were cleansed.

Trusting God

Trusting God
Trust is an issue that everyone experiences in their life. It is a great blessing to have someone you can trust completely with everything, with whom you can be totally open and honest. You want someone to never fail you or leave you, no matter what happens. God is that someone. You can trust Him completely. He has promised never to forget or fail you. God does not get weary of listening to you. He does not leave you when your trials get too heavy to bear. God is your friend who loves you and wants you to trust in him completely with everything about your life. There is no need to be afraid to trust God for He is the only one who can help you with your fears and trust. Let His Words speak to your heart.
When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise- in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? Psalm 56: 3, 4
The Lord is my light and my salvation- Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life- of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9: 9, 10
“…and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” Psalm 50:15
These are the words of God. Let these words penetrate your heart. You are truly, truly loved by the Lord.

Shower Our Children With Love
Posted on October 11, 2014 | By Virginia White Jones
Shower Our Children With Love
Children around the world need our love. The adversary is trying to snatch our children at a younger age, with the intent of sending them down the negative path of life – to destroy their dreams, their hopes, and their lives. Though you may show love to your own children or those close to you, there are many children who suffer lives deprived of nurturing and love.
A kind word, a hug, special quality time, a listening ear, words of encouragement – are things that do not cost money and are things we have to give. We know that children want and enjoy materialistic things, however, they eventually will lose interest in “things”. More important, they need and want genuine love which will last a life time.
We can change the accelerated acts of the adversary to destroy our children hopes, dreams, and lives by sharing a piece of ourselves. Take a vow to extend love to the children that come across your path in life. Just as the rain showers the earth and make the grass green and grow, shower the children with love. They will grow in self esteem, feel good about themselves, achieve their dreams, and learn that they are special in God’s eyesight. In turn, they will show love to others.
It takes each of us to reverse the cycle of destruction that satan has for our children. The overriding factor is “God is Love” which is the model for our behavior. Loves works every time!!!

Supportive Men are Treasures
Posted on June 15, 2014 | By Virginia White Jones
Sometimes we are so busy
Seeking material and worldly things
We often miss what is important
The supportiveness that our men bring
The tedious jobs men do each day
Often go unnoticed or taken in stride
They are sincere in solving problems
To show they are on our side
Men help women achieve their goals
Laying the foundation for the many tasks
Willingly giving up a part of themselves
To assure that accomplishments will last
Dubbed as hunters and providers
Men solve problems, and lend a listening ear
While women are talking, men are thinking
Of ways to show they truly care
When you find a supportive man
Who protects and provides in times of strife
He is a hidden treasure
That God placed into your life
Supportive men should not be taken for granted
Because they show love in different ways
Appreciate, honor, and respect them
You have found a treasure, give God some praise
God blessed me with a treasure in my life. I pray you are blessed too!
Focus on the positive things about supportive men, who are treasures.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report: if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things.

God’s World Is Beautiful

God’s World Is Beautiful
You are beautiful too! God created you as someone special in His eyesight, someone with value and dignity. In life, you may experience the deepest hurt by those you love and trusted. How you express the feelings about the hurt is very important.
No one can take away the dignity which God created in you unless you willingly give it up. We give up our dignity in many ways. We give up our dignity through turning our feelings inward, which breed depression. We may turn our feelings outward which breed aggression and every kind of malice. When we turn our feelings upward to God through continuous prayer, we activate all of God’s promises. God restores our sense of direction and dignity. He lets us know that our beauty is a reflection of Him. Praise God!
Psalms 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that well.

HELP! I Am Drowning

HELP!! I Am Drowning
Each morning that I wake up, I realize that it’s all because of you. I need you Heavenly Father to help me through each day. Though I am unworthy, shower me with your love and guidance. Teach me and mold me into what you would have me to be. For without you Lord, I am nothing. I am drowning.
I have tried things on my own but have made a mess of my life; sometimes I have helped to make a mess of others lives. Please forgive me. Be patient with me. I repent for my sins. The door of my heart is now open. Dear Lord, please come in. This is my plea for help. I need you Heavenly Father to be the Lord of my life.
Romans 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

It Is Not Your Fault

It Is Not Your Fault
There are days you may have thoughts
About the “bad things” that happened to you
To God, you are special
He will make your life brand new
There is no need to feel guilty
Believing it was your fault
You are an innocent victim
The uncaring did not halt
When someone takes advantage of you
They have problems of their own
It’s easier for them to point the blame
To avoid facing what is already known
God knows all about the secret places
Filled with agony, pain, and tears
He will restore you to wholeness
Which will keep you through the years
It is not your fault
God is working all things out
You are his beautiful creation
Your faith will remove all doubt
God works in mysterious ways
So hold your head up high
He will render justice on your behalf
Keep reaching for the sky
For those who have been sexually abused, God loves you!!!
Zephanhiah 3:17
The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.

Through The Eyes Of A Child- A Special Christmas Gift

Through The Eyes Of A Child – A Special Christmas Gift
Cherish as well as encourage children as they have feelings too. Allow them to express themselves in different ways- art, drawings, letters, poetry, paintings, etc. It is good for the young soul as well as to help reduce anger, aggression, depression, and anxiety. This is a letter written by and through the eyes of a 12 year old. Instead of a “regular” gift, a wonderful letter was received. (uncensored) It was the best gift besides Jesus birth, that I could receive.
An appreciation letter written by my granddaughter
Dear Grammy,
Here is a letter to tell you how much I appreciate you. First, I’d liked to say how much good advice you have given me when I was sick, when I lie, or even when I felt hurt. You have expanded my horizon for trying new things, and making new friends, even though they might be different from me. You have showed me how to be a loyal citizen and how to appreciate others hard work. In the 12 years, I have shared being your granddaughter, I will never forget these bright moments, when you take me shopping, when you pick me up from school, or even spending time with you in your big mansion. You have taught me manners, given me tips on how to choose nice and loyal friends. I will never forget these moments, now and forever. In a few words, I’d just like to say thank you, thank you, and thank you. I will never forget this, and I hope you don’t either.
Love
Your granddaughter

Why Should You Want To Live
Posted on March 30, 2014 | By Virginia White Jones
Why Should You Want To Live?
Your life is the most precious gift
that you will ever own
Almighty God created you
It is He to whom your life belongs
He wants you to have happiness
Peace, joy, and all the rest
When storms of life come your way
Still strive to do your very best
Though you may feel like giving up
When life’s burdens begin to mount
Keep your heart and mind focused on God
It’s your relationship with Him that counts
You are somebody special in God’s eyesight
With Love and patience He molded you
To live your life to the fullest for Him
That’s what He requires you to do
Thoughts about taking your life is straight from the devil. God created you in His own image. God loves you so much that He sent His son Jesus to die for you. Think about the sacrifice He made for you and dwell on His love.
