Give Me My Dignity

Give Me My Dignity
Don’t think because I am getting old
That I have lost my way
My body may be changing
But God is with me throughout each day
God has brought me through many years
I faced valleys, hills, and mountain peaks
He gives me strength, wisdom, and favor
His promises, He always keeps
As I begin to age gracefully
I need love, care, and respect
I still have much to share with you
As God prepares me for my heavenly step
I want to give you hope for the future
Our generations need to know
God will never leave or forsake you
The Living Word tells us so
I am proud to live out my golden years
I still have my dignity
God gave me His essence before I was born
So you can’t take it away from me
Give Me My Dignity
Isaiah 46:4
Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he,
I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you
