Why Me Lord? Because I Love You

Why Me Lord?
Because I Love You

Why me Lord?
I strive to do your will
and follow in you way
Each morning that I awaken
I kneel down to pray

Why me Lord?
I praise you for your mighty works
Your sunrise, sunsets, I lift you high
Yet, before the ending of a day
There times I have to cry

Why me Lord?
Trials and tribulations
seem to be my second name
For the burdens of life get so heavy
I wonder if I will be the same
BUT
When I think about how you dried my tears
In the middle of the night
And whispered in my ears
That everything will be all right

In the middle of the storms
You give me peace within
Even though I do not deserve it
For I too have sinned

You sent your Son to hang on the cross
His suffering so terrible to bear
To show how much you loved me
That you truly, truly care

My troubles in this world cannot compare
To your greatest sacrifice
Jesus died on the cross for me
So that I may have eternal life
WHY NOT ME?

God Is Our Provider

Rabbit
First glance at this picture, you may think that this rabbit is sitting all alone.

Look again!!! The rabbit is looking at all of the blessings that God has surrounded him with – plenty of grass and nutrients to eat. God does the same for us, providing all that we need. You, like the rabbit may be sitting or standing in the middle of your blessing. Change your perspective, take off the blinders, and start praising God for His provision.

Stepping Out On Faith

The first step is the hardest
When stepping out on faith
For you cannot see what lies ahead
There are times when you must wait

Though you cannot see the wind
The trees and flowers as they grow,
You can feel the breeze and see the beauty
Some things only God will know

You cannot see God’s decisions
On how a way will be made
His voice harkens: Step out on faith my child
Your success is guaranteed

Faith is not based on what you can see
Nor what you or any man may know
Faith is based on a belief
That God has told you so

When you take the first step out on Faith
Know that God has you in hand
He can move mountains, streams, and valleys
Unlike any other man

A Broken Heart Mended By God

A heart broken into many pieces
will often cause you pain
You may begin to wonder
Whether you’ll be made whole again

Tears of hurt stream down your face
As you are immersed deep in thought
How could I go wrong, What did I do?
To deserve such a broken heart?

One cry to God is all you need
For Him to take his “mending gear”
A prayer for help “I need you Lord”
will cause Him to draw near

As you begin to lean on Him
He takes his needle of love
and threads it with understanding
to mend your heart from above

Piece by piece the Master Mender
replaces life’s disappointments
with his precious care
Until your broken heart is mended
Call on God anytime, anyplace, anywhere
